Code of ConductThe Code of Conduct covers areas of individual behaviour such as members not abusing their position or not misusing their authority's resources. In addition there are rules governing disclosure of interest and withdrawal from meetings where members have relevant interests. Members are also required to record on the public register their financial and other interests. At the meeting on 17th July 2007 Newnham Parish Council adopted the revised model Code of Conduct for Parish & Town Councils, which replaced the model code adopted in May 2002 and defined in the statutory instrument 2001 No.3576.
